HOW TO BOOK A TAXI FROM AND TO PARIS SAINT-LAZARE ?
Reservations to and from Gare Saint-Lazare can be made by :

Before booking, make sure to :
- Enter your phone number in international format if it’s not french (exemple : +34 for Spain)

PICK-UP AT PARIS SAINT-LAZARE :
Pick-up takes place in “RUE D’AMSTERDAM”.
Step 1 : go to the blue zone and look for lane 27.
Step 2 : look up and follow the exit sign “RUE D’AMSTERDAM” .
There you are.
The driver will contact you 15 minutes before your train arrives at the station to remind you of the pick-up details.
At the client’s request or if the drop-off point is full, the meeting point can be changed in which case you will be notified.

HISTORY OF PARIS - GARE SAINT LAZARE
Gare Saint-Lazare is one of the main railway stations in Paris, located in the 8th arrondissement. Its history dates back to the early 19th century and is closely linked to the development of the railways in France.
The first Saint-Lazare station was opened in 1837 to accommodate trains from Saint-Germain-en-Laye. This railway line was one of the first suburban lines in the world. The original station was designed by the architect François Eugène Vidocq, and was built on the site of what is now the station’s inner square.
Over the years, as rail traffic increased, the station was extended and renovated several times. In 1843, architect Léonce Reynaud designed a new station to replace the original structure. The station was extended several times during the 19th century to accommodate the continued growth of the rail network.
Gare Saint-Lazare became a major rail hub, serving destinations such as Normandy, Brittany, the Seine valley and towns in north-west France. The station also played an important role during the First and Second World Wars, serving as a departure point for troops and supplies.
In 1931, a large part of the station was destroyed by fire. The reconstruction that followed was led by the architect Juste Lisch. The modernised station was inaugurated in 1932, with a design that blends classical architecture with more modern elements.
Over the following decades, Gare Saint-Lazare continued to evolve to meet the needs of modern rail traffic. It became an important station for commuter trains, in addition to its regional and national connections.
Today, Gare Saint-Lazare is one of the busiest stations in Paris, offering connections to many destinations across France. It has also become a landmark of the city, blending history, architecture and functionality into the urban fabric of Paris.
